Worm Castings vs. Worm Compost

Many worm compost producers advertise and label their products as “worm castings” when in reality very little of the material has been processed by earthworms. Know what you are looking at before buying!

Black Castings™ & VermaPlex® Turf Program

The sod in the top section was installed and treated using “conventional” methods by a well-known landscape service.

The bottom section first had Black Castings™ applied prior to laying the sod, then afterwards treated with VermaPlex®. It was watered once more before this picture was taken (July 2008).
